I'm trying to bill secondary insurance. The primary insurance has paid and been posted, with a contract adjustment. I'm using the secondary insurance check box to print/export to the secondary insurance. When I do this, Box 29 shows the correct primary insurance payment. The problem is the amount in Box 30 - balance due, is incorrect. It is showing a larger balance due because it doesn't take into account the contract adjustment. For example, for $100 charge, if primary paid $70 with a contract adjustment of $10 the balance due should be $20. In EZ Claim, it shows $20 as the balance due. However, when I export/print, in this example, box 30 will pull $30 as balance due (the charge minus the insurance payment not considering the contract adjustment). Where does box 30 pull from? How can I get box 30 to use the balance due amount from the EZ Claim payment screen?
Thanks,
Stephanie

Sounds like you may have the 'Use Insurance Balance' box checked on the Charges screen (bottom left corner of the screen).
