Is QuickBooks required to use EZClaim?

No. EZClaim medical billing software is a standalone program and does not require any other software.

Can claim information transfer from QuickBooks to EZClaim?

No. Insurance Claim information only transfers from EZClaim to QuickBooks.

Will EZLink work with Quicken?

No. EZLink does not work with any version of Quicken accounting programs.

Does the EZLink export the QIF or IIF format?

No. EZLink does not generate a QIF or IIF file. Intuit is eliminating support for the QIF and IIF transfer formats.

Can I trial EZLink if I have already purchased EZClaim?

If you have EZClaim Advanced, we can put you back into Trial mode which will allow you to trial the EZLink Module. If you have EZClaim Basic, you would need to download the EZClaim Advanced trial to another computer.

Does the EZLink module allow me to print 1500 forms from QuickBooks?

No. EZClaim must be used to print the 1500 form then the data is transferred to QuickBooks.

What version of QuickBooks do I need?

QuickBooks 2003 Professional and higher are required. EZLink does not work with QuickBooks Basic or the Online Editions of QuickBooks. EZLink will work with the specialized QuickBooks editions for Healthcare, Non-Profit, and others. EZLink will also work with the Enterprise version of QuickBooks.

What does the EZLink module do?

The EZLink module transfers a 1500 claim to QuickBooks as an invoice. In the process of transferring claims, it will create customer record and item codes if needed to create the invoice.

What patient information is transferred to QuickBooks?

The Patient name, address, city, state, zip, patient account number, and phone number.

What claim information is transferred to QuickBooks?

The date of service, procedure code or product code, description (if available in the code library), charge, and units. Payments are also transferred which include the amount and date of payment.

Why would I use EZLink and QuickBooks?

If you already use QuickBooks to track your services and don't want to double data enter service information, EZLink can help.

Do I need QuickBooks to track my Accounts Receivables (AR)?

No. EZClaim can handle all your payment tracking and receivables. We suggest trying EZClaim by itself first. If you find something lacking in EZClaim that QuickBooks can offer, then you can purchase the EZLink module.

Where do I enter payments Into QuickBooks or EZClaim?

All payment entry would be done in EZClaim then transferred to QuickBooks.

How often should I transfer data?

We suggest transferring data as often as you do your billing. If you bill every day then transfer every day. If you only bill once a week then transfer once a week.

How does EZClaim connect to QuickBooks?

The EZLink module talks to the QuickBooks company file through a programming interface provided by QuickBooks.

What is meant by transferring a claim as an invoice in QuickBooks opposed to transferring each claim line as a separate invoice?

If a single claim has 3 line items, the transfer will create a single invoice with 3 line items. If you are using the option to transfer each line item as a unique billing invoice, the transfer will create 3 invoices with 1 line item each. We suggest transferring a single claim as a single invoice.
