EZClaim Advanced with the ANSI 837 Billing Module allows for submitting claims directly to all payers or processors that accept the ANSI 837 Professional. This includes:

• Direct Payer List
• Medicare
• Medicaid
• Blue Cross/Blue Shield
• Availity
• Medi-Cal
• DMERC Region A - NHIC
• DMERC Region B - NGS Medicare
• DMERC Region C - Cigna/Palmetto
• DMERC Region D - Noridian
• All other payers or processors that accept claims using the ANSI 837 Professional Format

Although the optional Direct Billing Module allows for submitting directly to a large number of insurance companies, it is important to be aware that most commercial insurance companies, Ex: Aetna, Humana, do not accept Direct electronic submission. You, as the provider, need to contact the insurance company to ask if they accept Direct electronic submission.

It is our recommendation that a provider have knowledge of medical billing before considering direct submission. We also suggest purchasing our EZClaim support contract.

Special Features of the Enhanced ANSI 837 Module

• DME - An 'Attach CMN' feature which allows you to enter the required CMN data for electronic billing.  This also gives you the ability to print CMNs.
• Chiropractic - A special data entry screen on each claim to provide data related to the number of treatments, subluxation codes, condition indicators, and patient condition description fields.
• Ambulance - A special data entry screen on each claim to provide data related to transport codes, miles, condition indicators, trip and stretcher purpose descriptions, and transport reason codes.
