ANSI 837 Professional Billing with EZClaim's Direct Billing Module
ANSI 837 Professional Electronic Billing Package Details
EZClaim software can send electronic claims directly (not through a clearinghouse) to all payers or processors that accept claims using the ANSI 837 Professional format. This includes:
- Medicare
- Medicaid
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield
- THIN - Texas Health Information Network
- Medi-Cal
- DMERC Region A - NHIC
- DMERC Region B - AdminaStar Federal
- DMERC Region C - Palmetto
- DMERC Region D - Noridian
- All other payers or processors that accept claims using the ANSI 837 Professional format.
Although the optional Direct Billing Module allows for submitting directly to a large number of insurance companies, it is important to be aware that most commercial insurance companies, Ex: Aetna, Humana, do not accept Direct electronic submission. You, as the provider, need to contact the insurance company to ask if they accept Direct electronic submission.
It is our recommendation that a provider have knowledge of medical billing before considering direct submission. We also suggest purchasing our EZClaim support contract.
